Setting
My setting takes place in the summer of 2010 in a small apartment. Throughout the story my main characters are separated and one goes to Seattle and the rest stay down in the small apartment. The apartment has an up stairs with 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms but only one has a shower in it. We live close together, something like a duplex but much more simpler. In the beginning of the story the characters go to a summer program called Teller gym center. On the way there my characters experiences there surrounding like a long path to leads them there and on the way they past by two parks and have to go threw a tall black gate. In the morning they go to the park where the grass is long and obstacle courses are set up so they can train for their Olympics. In the park there is a messed up basketball court where the net is teared and the hoop is wiggly. In the house there is an upstairs and downstairs there are couches where your butt sinks in. When you walk up stairs you see right across a bathroom and next to it is 3 bedrooms.
The real name of the community center was Phoenix Park Community Center and the apartment name was G parkway.
I named it "The Bricks" because the apartments are split into 3 sections while a black gate separates them. the first was named the ghetto side there was all types of drama in that section where the police would always be there. The middle was called Phoenix Park, that was where my program was located and it was ran by the program director which was always clean and quiet. The last side was called the bricks and still is. They called it the bricks because there was brick walls all around where kids would climb and side or hide behind them.
